Do not let Cong-NCP win a single seat, thunderes Modi while appealing people to elect BJP-Sena candidates for Suraksha,Samruddhi and Samman

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched a blistering attack against the Congress for coining the term ‘Hindu terror’ and charged it with defaming the peaceful Hindu Society by linking it with terrorism. Addressing his first election campaign rally at Wardha, Modi minced no words in denouncing Congress and its spin doctors for creating a bogey of Hindu terror in an effort to shield the real perpetrators. “Congress and NCP can stoop to lowest level for the sake of votebank politics. The Congress attempted to defame the crore of Indians by using the term Hindu-terror,” Modi stated while vouching that Hindu Society would never forgive Congress for this unpardonable sin. Modi also took a dig at Congress for defeating ‘Bharat Ratna’ Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, and said that BJP-led NDA Government was giving due respect of Dr Ambedkar. The Prime Minister on Monday afternoon launched the BJP-Sena combine's Lok Sabha election campaign for Maharashtra, by addressing a well attended rally at Swavalambi Maidan in Wardha.

Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister; Sudhir Mungantiwar, Finance Minister and Guardian Minister of Wardha district; Ramdas Athawale, President of Republican Party of India (Athawale) and Union Minister of State; were present prominently. BJP-Sena candidates namely Ramdas Tadas (Wardha), Hansraj Ahir (Chandrapur), Ashok Nete (Gadchiroli-Chimur), and Anandrao Adsul (Amravati) shared the dais. “Congress should realise that people will not forget it. For, it has tried to defame Hindus by linking them with terrorism. That is why, its leaders are not confidently contesting from Hindu-majority constituencies but are running to contest from constituency where Hindus are not in majority,” he said in an obvious reference to Congress chief Rahul Gandhi contesting from Wayanad constituency in Kerala also apart from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

Referring to Samjhauta Express blast verdict, without naming it, in which Swami Aseemananda was acquitted, Modi said, it has exposed the conspiracy hatched by the Congress. “How can Congress be forgiven which has insulted Hindus in front of the world. Weren’t you hurt when you heard the word Hindu terror? How can a community known for peace, brotherhood and harmony be linked with terrorism? In the thousand years of history, not a single incident shows an act of Hindu terrorism. Even the British historians could never found it,” he said.

Heroes of Hindustan or Pakistan?

Claiming it was Sushil Kumar Shinde, who as Union Home Minister used the term Hindu-terror, the Prime Minister said that Congress-NCP government in Maharashtra had given a free-hand to the crowd in Azad Maidan which went on rampage and destroyed memorial of martyrs. Asking the crowd whether they will vote for a party which asks evidence of action taken by armed forces against Pakistan, Modi said,

“Do you want heroes of Hindustan or of Pakistan? You want saboot (evidence) or sapoot (great son)? Teach them a lesson who ask for evidence.”

Alliance of 56 groups is Maha-Milawat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday, launched a scathing attack on Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) alliance comprising 54 other groups and parties in Maharashtra calling it a ‘Maha-Milawat’. While accusing Congress-NCP of talking a language that pleased Pakistan, he appealed to the voters to elect BJP-Shiv Sena combine's candidates in Lok Sabha for ‘Suraksha (security), Samruddhi (prosperity), and Samman (dignity) of the nation. The Prime Minister started his half-an-hour speech by paying respects to Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vinoba Bhave. He also started his address to the people in chaste Marathi and later on continued in Hindi. He thanked the voters of Vidarbha, Maharashtra, and India for giving BJP-led alliance an opportunity to serve the country for five years, and said that he had come to express his gratitude towards them. He referred to Congress’ jibe that he was ‘chowkidar of toilets’, and said, “In an effort to attack me, Congress has demeaned the effort of community that has been discharging the duty as sanitation workers. For me, sanitation and hygiene is not a matter of joke or mockery. I take pride in calling myself ‘chowkidar’ of toilets. For, while emphasizing on maintenance of sanitation and hygiene by way of constructing more toilets, I have been ensuring that women of my country are entitled to safety and security.”

‘NCP leaders involved in Irrigation Scam’ In his speech, Modi came down heavily on Congress-NCP for raking up casteism. Taking a dig at NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, the Prime Minister launched a sharp attack against NCP and its leaders including Ajit Pawar charging them with “looting the state exchequer in the name of irrigation projects” and blamed them for lack of irrigation and parched hinterland. “Pawar-sahab had been dreaming of becoming Prime Minister one day. However, now, he has decided not to contest election. For, he has sensed that the mood of the nation is in favour of BJP,” said Modi. Besides, NCP is facing ‘family feud’ as Ajit Pawar is trying to dominate the decision-making. Modi reminded the people of firing at farmers at Maval during the regime of Congress-NCP and also of Ajit Pawar’s comments when farmers asked him for water for irrigation. Congress-NCP brought various schemes but exploited those and irrigation projects for own benefit, he said while referring to irrigation scam in which Ajit Pawar is an accused. “Maharashtra should reject such lie-telling, anti-people, anti-farmer leaders,” he stressed. Modi took the opportunity to inform the gathering that he was committed to completing the works of pending irrigation projects.

The work on 26 schemes in Maharashtra is in progress including that of Lower Wardha project. Besides, several works under Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan are yielding positive results. He assured to the people that ongoing projects would be completed in time. Also, his Government had reduced the menace of Naxalism. He also referred to Wardha-Nagpur line, logistics parks, boost given to connectivity in Vidarbha, and other projects. “This ‘chowkidar’ is committed to development,” he added. Concluding his speech, Modi appealed to the people to ensure that Congress-NCP led combine did not win a single seat this time, and that BJP-Sena led combine was made stronger for ‘Suraksha, Samruddhi, Samman’ of India. He also raised slogan “Main Bhi Chowkidar’ and people followed him in big numbers.

BJP-Sena will win all seats in Vid: Fadnavis

Wardha Correspondent

“April 1 is celebrated as ‘April fool’ in some countries, but Congress party has been fooling the country for more than 50 years. But BJP-Shiv Sena will root out Congress and win all the 10 seats in Vidarbha,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Recalling that BJP had launched its poll campaign from Wardha in last Lok Sabha election, Chief Minister said it is a karmabhoomi of Mahatama Gandhi. Gandhi had advocated to dissolve Congress and the process has launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, BJP has not only eliminated Congress party from Lok Sabha but also from Assembly, Zilla Parishad and even Gram Panchayat. Notably, the Chief Minister introduced all the guests present on the dais as ‘Chaukidars’. “Congress has formed alliance with 56 parties to defeat Narendra Modi, but it needs 56-inch chest to run a country, not 56 parties,” said Fadnavis.Coming down heavily on Congress-NCP alliance, the Chief Minister further stated that the two parties have meted out great injustice to Vidarbha region. But, Modi removed the injustice by appointing a son of Vidarbha as Chief Minister and giving ministerial berths to many from the region. “Since we have carried out as much as development works in last four years that Congress-NCP could not do in 15-years, we will win all 10 seats in Vidarbha,” CM said confidently.

I am with BJP-SS to protect Constitution: Athawale

Wardha Correspondent,
Taking a dig at Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister and NDA partner Ramdas Athawale said Rahul should become Leader of Opposition first and then have a dream of becoming Prime Minister of the country. The people of this country will not fulfill his dream. In his unique poetic style, Athawale said ‘Kidhar bhi nazar nahi aa rahi hai Congress ki khadi ....kyonki is desh me aa gaye hai Narendra Modi.’ Ruling out any possibility of any change in the Constitution of India, Athawale said, “I am with BJP-Shiv Sena alliance to protect the Constitution.”
