The Lok Sabha elections, this time, may witness a higher voter turnout, if the numbers are any indication. As per the latest data with the administration, the number of voters has registered an increase by 2,02,320 in barely seven months since September 2018. Nagpur district has two Lok Sabha constituencies namely Nagpur city and Ramtek. These constituencies are further divided into six Legislative Assembly segments each. Nagpur constituency has six Assembly segments namely Nagpur South-West, Nagpur South, Nagpur East, Nagpur Central, Nagpur West, and Nagpur North. The North segment is reserved for Scheduled Castes.
 
 
 
 
Similarly, Ramtek constituency covers rural parts of district and has six Assembly segments - Katol, Saoner, Hingna, Umred (reserved for Scheduled Castes), Kamptee, and Ramtek. Nagpur and Ramtek constituencies of Lok Sabha put together had total 39,19,317 voters in January 2018. However, by September 1, 2018, the number came down to 38,78,959.
 
Thus, there was a reduction of 40,358 in the number of voters in the district. Later on another revision was carried out and the revised electoral rolls were published on January 11. Further, the voter enrolment drive continued till March 15. Now, the administration has compiled the number of voters as on March 30, 2019. As per this data, Nagpur and Ramtek constituencies put together have total 40,81,279 voters. Compared to the number as on September 1, 2018, the latest figure indicates rise in number of voters by an impressive 2,02,320.
 
Administration has arrived at the latest figure after compiling the number of additions and deletions. As per the data, if one considers the Nagpur district (Nagpur and Ramtek constituencies of Lok Sabha included), Kamptee has the highest number of voters - 4,17,250. It is followed by Nagpur South having 3,75,719 voters. Nagpur North follows closely with number of voters at 3,75,180.
