“Vardaan staff reflect cheerfulness, peace and stress free mind inspite of challenges. Their dedication and smile on their faces is contagious,” observed noted industrialist and social worker Vilas Kale, while addressing the gathering comprising staff of Vardaan, important personalities working in the field of child care, after releasing the book ‘Vardaan: Bal Hakkanchi Vaatchal’ released on the occasion. The programme was organised under the aegis of Indian Association for Promotion of Adoption and Child Welfare Vidarbha Chapter. Present on the occasion during the book release were President of Vardaan Dr Mangala Deshkar, Vilas Kale, Chef Vishnu Manohar and Secretary Saroj Kolhe. Guest of Honour Chef Vishnu Manohar was full of praise for the noble work being done by Vardaan.
“Patience, dedication in handling sensitive work such as child adoption, child care, their dedication in changing mindset of a child deserves praise and accolades. They need more hands to join and spread the activity, thereby causing happiness to go viral. The 30 years journey of the Sanstha has seen and faced many challenges where joy and sorrow walked hand in hand,” exhorted noted Chef Vishnu Manohar. President of the Sanstha Mangala Deshkar spoke on how beginning was made with help of non-professionals, who took time to settle down in handling the problems that cropped while dealing with the subject related to children.
Soon success began to trickle and many people came forward to join. Today, it has a strong foundation. Earlier, Secretary Saroj Kolhe made introductory remarks. Maitree Kale read two excerpts from the book based on her experiences in Palnaghar and with Toli area. Social worker Gauri Shastri Deshpande was felicitated for having worded the experiences and shaped it into inspiring stories. Publisher Makrand Kulkarni was also feted for publishing the book. Also feted were Prachi Hirekar and Pratik Bawangade. Prominently present on the occasion were Shilpa Puranik, Rashmi Babulkar and Arun Kumar.
