Congress refutes ex-CM’s charge n Chouhan meets injured family members of deceased Nemichand in Indore

Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan went to Indore and met the injured family members of deceased Nemichand Tawar on Monday. Notably, Nemichand was shot dead by a man and his sons after polling on Sunday. BJP leaders said that main accused is Congress worker and Nemichand was killed as he had voted for the BJP. In the meantime, Congress said it condemns the incident and accused will not be spared. Earlier, Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached Indore and went to hospital where deceased Nemichand Tawar’s son and wife are undergoing treatment as they too were injured in the incident. Announcing Rs 5 lakh aid from party fund to family of deceased Nemichand, Chouhan said that hooliganism is at peak in Congress regime and regularly BJP workers are being targeted.

“During Lok Sabha polling in Indore, 65-year-old Nemichand was shot dead for voting to BJP,” he claimed. He asserted that earlier Madhya Pradesh was known as island of peace and never such incident happened wherein anyone has been shot dead for voting to a particular party. He told that before the murder, Nemichand’s son had a brawl with Congressmen. Expressing concern on gory incident of Indore, he asked that in which direction Congress wants to take Madhya Pradesh? He alleged that from the day when Congress came to power in State, BJP workers are being targeted and intimidated. Government is working with vengeance. More than one dozen places in Sanwer, supporters of minister have harassed BJP workers. In a warning to Congress, he said “Chief Minister Kamal Nath and minister Tulsi Silawat should understand it very well that we will not allow Madhya Pradesh to turn into West Bengal.” He alleged there is a directive of CM that if anyone is defeated from minister’s region then person in concerned has to tender the resignation.

Therefore, ministers are doing the work of intimidation. He told that BJP is standing with deceased Nemichand’s family with full strength. BJP will fight against hooliganism by hitting the roads. He demanded that whoever is the accused, he should be arrested. In the meantime, he also wanted to know that during election, how accused managed to have the fire arms. Government should also do probe in this regard. When he went to hospital, he was accompanied by Indore Mayor Malini Gaud, party’s Vice President Sudharshan Gupta, Indore Lok Sabha candidate Shankar Lalwani, former MLA Rajesh Sonkar etc. In the meantime, CM’s media co-ordinator Narendra Saluja said that murder of Nemichand Tawar in Pilia area of Indore’s Sanver area is a sad incident.

However, BJP is trying to give political colours to the incident. Ex-CM Chouhan had earlier also levelled allegations against Congress when BJP leader Prahalad Bandwar was murdered in Mandsaur and when name of BJP worker Manish Beragi came to fore in incident, he got silenced. Even in some other such incidents, including twin murder of Chitrakoot, Shivraj Singh Chouhan levelled allegations on Congress and later he had to eat the humble pie. On the charge that Congress worker is involved in murder of Nemichand in Indore, he said that charges are baseless as accused is seen along with BJP leaders doing mass contact.
