THE Dharampeth Mahila Multi State Co-operative Society Limited, Nagpur has successfully completed 24 years of operations and entered the 25th year. To celebrate the occasion, the society organised a programme recently to celebrate its silver jubilee at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall. Milind Bhusari, Commissioner of Income Tax (Audit & ITAT), Bharat Ganeshpure, Bharat Ganeshpure a Marathi comedian best known for his comical performances in the Marathi television shows ‘Fu Bai Fu’ and ‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’, Shreya Bugde, a popular Marathi actress and Vishnu Manohar, famous chef were prominently present. Nilima Bawane, Chairperson, Sarika Pendse, Vice-Chairperson and all the board of directors were also present. Nilima Bawane established the society with 40 women members. Today the society has achieved phenomenal growth with deposits of over Rs 1,100 crore.
This figure indicates the immense faith and trust the customers have in the society. Sarika Pendse said that The Dharampeth Mahila Society is one of the leading co-operative societies in the country. Today it has total 28 branches out of which 9 branches are self owned. It is having operations in different states of the country. Shweta Shegaonkar conducted the proceedings of the event while Anagha Vaidya proposed the vote of thanks.
