Vishal Dhagat, Mishra sworn in as MPHC judges

Swearing-in ceremony of Vishal Dhagat and Vishal Mishra as two new judges of the Madhya Pradesh High Court (MPHC) was held in a ceremonial programme at South Block of the MHPC. Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Justice S K Seth administered oath of office to new judges Vishal Dhagat and Vishal Mishra.
 
On this occasion, judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Advocate General, senior advocates and family members of the newly inducted judges of the MHPC were present. It may be mentioned that, the Union Government, Ministry of Law and Legal Affairs, after obtaining recommendation of the President of India on May 22, issued orders of appointment of Vishal Dhagat and Vishal Mishra as Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
 
Earlier, on May 12, the Collegium of the Supreme Court of India had recommended appointment of Vishal Dhagat and Vishal Mishra for appointment as High Court judges. In the Madhya Pradesh High Court, a total of 53 posts of judges were approved. Now with addition of two new judges, the strength of judges in MPHC is now thirty-seven. After appointment of two new judges in MPHC, around 15 posts of judges in Madhya Pradesh High Court are still vacant. Justice Vishal Dhagat is from Jabalpur and Justice Vishal Mishra is from Gwalior.
