MADHUBAN (East Champaran):
They want ‘jungle raj’ while we want ‘Janta raj’, they want loot order of ‘Lalu raj’ while we want law and order,” said BJP President Amit Shah
Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah on Monday said ‘Gathbandhan’ (grand alliance) wants to take Bihar back into the era of ‘lantern’ while the BJP wants to take the State ahead into the era of ‘LED bulb’. “The ‘Gathbandhan’ is taking Bihar back into the era of ‘lantern’ while we are taking you into the era of LED bulbs. They want ‘jungle raj’ while we want ‘Janta raj’, they want loot order of ‘Lalu raj’ while we want law and order,” said Shah addressing an election rally here. “Bihar has suffered a lot. Bihar has seen the ‘jungle raj’ of Lalu and Rabri.
After Nitish Kumar and Sushil Modi came, it started walking on the track of development. After Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, the unprecedented development occurred and the local train was converted into a high-speed express train. This all happened due to the ‘double engine’ Government,” he added. The Congress, which ruled the State for several years, lost power to Janata Dal (United), which formed the Government in 1990 under the leadership of Lalu Prasad Yadav. Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi ruled for almost 15 years before losing the battle to Nitish Kumar in 2005.
‘India will become ‘superpower’ if Modi becomes PM again’
Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah on Sunday asserted that India will emerge as a “superpower” in the next five years if Narendra Modi becomes the Prime Minister again. Addressing his fourth rally in the States of Punjab and Haryana, Shah said the country was secure only under the Modi rule. He earlier organised rallies at Sonipat and Panipat in Haryana, and at Pathankot in Punjab. His rally in Haryana’s Yamunanagar was cancelled.
“I have come here to say if you make Narendra Modi PM again, India will emerge as a superpower in the world in next five years,” the Bharatiya Janata Party Chief told the gathering here. He was campaigning for Bharatiya Janata Party nominee and sitting MP from Chandigarh, Kirron Kher. Dubbing the Congress-led Opposition ‘Mahamilavati’ (highly adulterated) ‘Mahagathbandhan’ (Grand Alliance), Shah reiterated that only Narendra Modi can keep the country secure.
“On one side, BJP and its alliance partners, and on the other hand, there is ‘Mahamilavat Mahagathbandhan’ whose leader is Rahul (Gandhi). Can they secure the country? Can they work for welfare of poor? Can they give a strong reply to terrorism? Can they give a strong reply to Pakistan?” he said.
