GOVERNOR of Tamil Nadu Banwarilal Purohit called on UnionHomeMinisterAmitShah in Delhi on Monday. This was Governor’s first official visit to Shah after he assumed charge as Union Home Minister. The visit was courtesy visit and apart from exchange of pleasantries, Governor briefed the Home Minister about political situation in the State.It may be recalled that Purohit Governor had attended the oath taking ceremony for the second term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Government.
 
GOVERNORS OF FOUR OTHER STATES MEET SHAH: GOVERNORS of four other States including West Bengal Monday met Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed various issues concerning their respective States, an official said. The Governors met Shah separatelyandofficialsdescribed the meetings as courtesy calls on the new Home Minister, who assumed charge about 10 days ago.
 
BesidesWest Bengal Governor KeshariNathTripathi,otherswho met the Home Minister are: Telangana’s ESL Narasimhan, who is also the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand’s Draupadi Murmuand Arunachal Pradesh’s Brigadier (Retd) BDMishra, a Home Ministry official said. The Governors discussed with the Home Minister issues concerning the irrespective State, the official said.
