With an objective of highlighting the issues of school van drivers, the BJP Vahatuk Aaghadi recently held an interactive session with the concerned authorities. The session was held at South Point School, Omkar Nagar. Chaksupal Bahadure, Assistant Police Commissioner (Traffic) was the chief guest on the occasion. Abhijit Khare, Assistant Inspector RTO; Daven Dasture, City BJP PRO and Director of South Point School were the other guests. “School van drivers must gain the confidence of parents and students through their good conduct and proper driving,” said Daven Dasture, in his address.
He also guided the drivers on how to behave while carrying students. Shyamsunder Sontakke, President of BJP Vahatuk Aaghadi, presented a brief walk through of the work done the organisation and also raised the problems of van drivers. Durge, Police Inspector, (Traffic) North Nagpur briefed the drivers about the traffic rules. Khare, also elaborated about RTO rules for school van, how to get the permit and passing of vehicle process.
Chakshupal Bahadure, satisfying the quires of the van drivers, explained them about the rules. Bahadure also assured the van drivers of full co-operation from the department. Nitin Patrikar, General Secretary, conducted the programme. Uday Ambulkar, Ravindra Deopujari, Surendra Katre, Hitesh Choudhary, Shankar Ambulkar worked hard for the success of the event. The event was attended by about 150 drivers.
