Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Culture Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu held a meeting with the officials of the Archaeology, Religious, Tourism and Culture Department at Mantralaya, Atal Nagar on Tuesday. Deliberations on the constitution of a Kalakar Parishad for promotion of art and culture of the State were held in the meeting. It was decided that a theme should be finalised for the promotion of art and culture of State.
The officials were directed to prepare an action plan for development of art and culture in State. The officials informed that 73 fairs and festivals are conducted by the Department in a year and about Rs 2.46 crore grant is given for the celebration of these occasions, the officials added. The Chief Minister issued directives to the officers while reviewing the programmes and projects of the department. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Gaurav Dwivedi, Advisor to Chief Minister Pradeep Sharma, Director of the Culture Department Anil Sahu and other officers attended the meeting.
