Give priority to implementation of Dastak Abhiyan: Collector

Collector reviewed the implementation of health schemes being run by the State Government

Collector Bharat Yadav instructed the Medical Health Officers of urban and rural areas for giving top priority to implementation of Dastak Abhiyan in their respective areas. He was chairing a meeting of District Health Committee, on Friday. He reviewed the implementation of health schemes being run by the State Government.
 
 
 
Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr. Murli Agrawal, District Programme Officer, M L Mehra and Block Medical Officer and officers from Woman and Child Welfare Department attended the meeting.
 
Medical Officers were instructed to ensure monitoring of every activity being carried out under Dastak Abhiyan in their respective areas. Officers and employees will he honoured for best implementation of Dastak Abhiyan for providing best health and medical services to children while stern action will be taken in case of finding any kind of irregularity in implementation of the scheme. He also said for making utmost publicity of the scheme through a special
campaign.
 
He emphasized over collaboration of every section of the society for desired results of the campaign. Accurate door-to-door reporting of diseases identified amongst children and detailed discussions on such diseases during Gram Swasth Sabha should be carried out. Along with the discussion on diseases, officers should also ensure discussion on providing nutritious diet and cleanliness at homes for avoiding several diseases.
 
Collector Yadav directed the health officers for taking necessary precautions for avoiding spread of water-borne diseases during monsoon season like malaria, chikungunia, dengu etc by creating public awareness in rural and urban areas.
 
Officers were also instructed for ensuring availability of anti-snake venom at health centres to provide prompt vaccination to snake bite cases during monsoon. He also said for organising workshop for providing training to assistant staff of health centres
 
about use of anti-snake venom injection. Collector, Bharat Yadav directed the officers for maintaining availability of blood at blood banks at Medical, Victoria and Elgin Hospitals and preparing a data base of blood donors for saving several precious lives. He directed the Chief Medical and Health Officers for establishing better coordination between social organisations for organising blood donation camps.
