MOIL celebrates 57th Foundation Day

MOIL Limited, the largest manganese ore producer of the country which is a CPSE under Ministry of Steel, celebrated its 57th Foundation Day on Saturday. The event was witnessed by employees, ex-employees and their family members from head office and various mines. The main event was held at city’s Kavi Suresh Bhatt Sabhagruha, Reshimbaugh, Nagpur.
 
The celebration started with lighting of lamp by MOIL CMD Mukund P Chaudhari; ex-CMDs- G P Kundargi, Independent Director, V N Chariar, Director Production & Planning, Dipankar Shome, Director Finance, Rakesh Tumane, Director-HR, Usha Singh and CVO Sharatchandra Tiwari. It was followed by CMD’s address to all employees where in he thanked all MOILians for the highest turnover of more than 1400 crore in 2018-19. He mentioned about the statistics of MOIL’s tremendous growth in 2018-2019. He also spoke about taking MOIL to a greater height this year where the target set is of 1.5 MT against this year’s achievement of 1.3 MT.
 
MOIL has been encouraging students and the academicians as part of CSR. This time too MOIL felicitated children scoring more than 80 per cent. The event also witnessed for the first time the launch of MOIL Corporate Song and Hindi Magazine MOIL Bharti. The gala also included the cultural finale by the children of MOIL employees. It included various traditional and folk performances from the region of MP, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan followed by the prize distribution by Dr Charulata Chaudhari, Geeta Kundargi, Moushami Shome, Leena Tumane and Usha Singh (Director-HR). The vote of thanks was proposed by Dipankar Shome.
