Burglars loot mobile phones worth over Rs 10 lakh from showroom

unidentified burglars struck at a mobile phone showroom and decamped with several expensive mobile phones worth over Rs 10 lakh from the showroom, located in Supela, Bhilai during early hours on Monday. The police are investigating into burglary to track down burglars on basis of modus operandi recorded in the course of spot inspection. According to sources, on early Monday morning, some unidentified burglars broke into Semi Conductor World, the mobile phone showroom, located near the Railway level crossing in Supela, Bhilai and ran away with over fifty expensive mobile phones. At about 4:30 pm on Sunday, the burglary came to light when the workers from the snacks joint by the victim’s mobile showroom, reached their restaurant and found one of the shutters of the showroom, partially open. They immediately informed the showroom owner and Supela police was informed in the process. As per CCTV grabs, the burglary occurred at about 3:30 am on Monday.
 
After information, Supeal police team reached the spot immediately and conducted minute inspection. The police recorded all necessary details. The sources said that it appeared that the burglars broke open the ordinary locks of the shutter and got in. There was no central locking system and the provision of CCTV camera was made for recording the developments within the showroom. However, the close circuit camera was installed by other shopkeepers in the lane and police are retrieving CCTV grabs to work out the clue, leading to the burglar.
 
Only one masked burglar was seen in the CCTV grabs in the showroom collecting mobiles in a bag. The sources said that the burglars seemed to have sound knowledge of mobile phone business as he only stole fast selling mobile phones of different makes. In the hazy CCTV grab of other establishments in the area the burglar was seen breaking open the shutter locks. Kamlesh Jain, Proprietor, Semi Conductor World, Supela, Bhilai stated that in the CCTV installed within the shop only one masked burglar is being seen, collecting mobile in a bag.
 
He came twice inside the shop and collected mobile phones in two different bags. He also added that there are CCTV camera, installed by the adjoining shopkeepers for outside view and it may proved to be worthwhile to ascertain number of burglars involved in the crime. When contacted, ASP (City) Rohit Kumar Jha informed that in the course of investigation the police will work out all details to get lead in the case. The police will soon succeed in laying hand on the burglar, ASP asserted.
