Court to hear bail plea of Akash today

 

 

Bhopal-based Special Court set up for hearing of cases related to elected representatives will hear the bail application of BJP MLA from Indore, Akash Vijayvargiya on Saturday. In the meantime, BJP workers and leaders staged a dharna in Indore by alleging that district administration is getting painted in the hue of Congress.

 

 

Indirectly, this dharna was somewhere in support of Akash Vijayvargiya. In this dharna, all BJP leaders of Indore, including MLAs, Mayor Malini Gaud etc, were present. When dharna was about to end, a youth allegedly tried to set himself ablaze by pouring kerosene on his body but BJP workers overpowered him immediately. Notably, Akash Vijayvargiya, who is son of BJP’s national leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, allegedly attacked a municipal official in Indore recently. The video footages show Akash Vijayvargiya attacking the official with a cricket bat.

 

 

Akash attacked municipal corporation team when it went to demolish a dilapidated building. This incident has brought politics on boil in Madhya Pradesh and even at national level. Akash Vijayvargiya and his supporters were arrested soon after the incident. Later, police slapped one more case against Akash Vijayvargiya for staging dharna without permission. Reports say that BJP National President Amit Shah had sought report from Indore unit of BJP about the incident. Congress is using the incident to make a scathing attack against BJP which had been earlier trying to giving harrowing time to it over law and order situation. Now, the bail of Akash Vijayvargiya will be decided on Saturday.
