CONTAINER Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), Inland Container Depot (ICD), Nagpur, felicitated the officials of Central Railway operating from the Section Area Control, Deputy Chief Controller (Goods), Section Controller and Ajni Yard for their excellent work and support in running the CONCOR Port-bound Exim container rakes from ICD-Ajni to Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) Port Mumbai, at the hands of Anup Kumar Satpathy (IRTS), CGM-CONCOR, Central Region, Nagpur on Monday.
Speaking to media after the felicitation Satpathy said, “Due to sincere and dedicated efforts taken by the team of Central Railway in the month of June 2019, we were able to deal the rakes from ICD Ajni to JNPT port in very short time of average 13 hours and 40 minutes only.” He said that the average time taken from the loading completion time to Badnera arrival for rakes running between June 15 and June 21 was 13 hours and 40 minutes only.
“Previously for the same operation it took at least 20 hours. At present the ICD-Ajni is dispatching average 2 trains. One train carry 45 containers.” Disclosing CONCOR’s future plan Satpathy said that CONCOR was ready to meet the logistic demands of Central India. Pankaj Kumar, Divisional Operation Manager Central Railway was also present on the occasion along with senior CONCOR team.
