Collector directs to develop tourist spots in periphery of Bhedaghat

Collector, Bharat Yadav (IAS) has directed the officers of Jabalpur Tourism Promotion Council (JTPC) and other concerned departments to develop Bhedaghat tourist circuit by developing unexplored tourist destinations around known tourist spots. He also suggested providing training of tourist guide to local youngsters for desired promotion of tourism at Bhedaghat.
 
It may be noted that ‘The Hitavada’, in its report dated July 17, highlighted the need of exploring new tourist destinations at Bhedaghat and providing employment opportunity to local youngsters as tourist guide. In a meeting of Jabalpur Tourism Development Council (JTPC), Collector, Bharat Yadav directed the officers of concerned departments to provide training of tourist guides to local youngsters thus opening employment opportunities. He also directed the Chief Municipal Officer of Bhedaghat Nagar Panchayat to registration of local youngsters and forwarding a proposal to Madhya Prade-sh Tourism Board for providing training of tourist guide to register youngsters.
 
Taking cognizance on report of ‘The Hitavada’, Collector, Yadav directed the officers to develop Bhedaghat tourist circuit, including unexplored tourist destinations near known destinations for providing more attractions in Bhedaghat. He also instructed the officers to install route indication boards to inform the tourists about tourist spots and mentioning historic, archaeological, geological and religious significance of tourist spots to attract utmost number of tourists at different spots. JTPC officers were directed to prepare brochures, booklets, etc. for providing detailed information of tourist spots at Bhedaghat and ensuring its availability at hotels and other tourist spots for attracting utmost number of tourists.
