Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Dahariya felicitated 42 meritorious students at a talent felicitation programme organised by Kosal Sahitya Kala Manch Arang on Monday. Manch President Vinod Gupta, in the welcome speech, underlined the organisation’s formation and its aim. Reading out the report, Mitanjali Mahanti drew the attention towards demand of declaring Arang an Archaeological town, express train stoppage, and naming the under-construction mini stadium after King Mordhwaj.

The topper students of Class-5th, 8th, 10th , and 12th felicitated by the guests were Rohan Chandrakar (95.67%) of Class-5th, Pankaj Gilhare (95%) of Class8th, Siddhi Sharma (94.8%) of 10th and Hritik Sahu (88.6%) of Gandhi English Medium School Arang, Nikhil Gendre (94.8%) of Jeevan Jyoti School class-5th, Simmi Chandrakar 93.5% of Srijan Sonkar school Class-8th, Venkateshwar Chandrakar 90.5% of Saraswati Shishu Mandir class10th, Chandrakanta Nishad 86.2% of Srijan Sonkar class-12th.

Nehru Yuva Kendra Raipur affiliated Jan Jagriti Yuva Mandal members are running sanitation awareness campaign at village Gujra by organising various activities. In the series of programmes, youths on Monday emphasised on use of cloth bags to get rid of the plastic carry bags. Yuva Mandal president Chandrashekhar Baghel informed that they are reaching out door-to-door to educate people about the storing the wet and dry waste separately. The youths also collected the waste from the public places. Nehru Yuva Kendra Raipur District Yuva coordinator Rajesh Mahant is directing the group of youths named Chandrashekhar Baghel, Lokesh Kewat, Anupama Vaishnav, Nitesh Purena, Meenu Sonwani, Khichendra Baghel, Rameshwar Banjare, Tikendra Baghel and Khelu who are taking part in internship.
