ABVP stages ‘chakka jam’ against Government Model Science College

Members of Jabalpur unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) protested against the administration of Government Model Science College by staging ‘Chakka jam’ in front of college entrance on Monday. The ABVP members, under the leadership of City Secretary, Sarvam Singh Rathore and City Assistant Secretary Shashank Sharma, staged protest against various irregularities in the examination result. Both Rathore and Sharma alleged that, as 70 percent of the students failed to score passing marks in the examination, it indicated towards different irregularities or partiality while checking the students’ answer-sheets.

The ABVP demanded the college administration either to reimburse the examination fee or to re-conduct examination. Under the Government scheme, whole fee of the students whose parents carry unorganised labour card, is fulfilled by the Government, but still, the college administration recovered fee with the assurance to reimburse it later.

But the administration has not returned the fee to any of the students. The ABVP warned to initiate protest if their demands were not fulfilled within three days. Others who attended protest included Shubhang Gontia, Amarnath Mishra, Shivansh Vishwakarma, Nihaal Shrivastava and others.
