Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University came to the rescue of homoeopathic field. It has been observed that, after completing BHMS course, majority of the homoeopathic students opt out to continue their higher studies in the same field following the fear of declining scope of getting jobs. To make BHMS students stick to homoeopathic field and to create fresh job opportunities by sharpening students’ skill, Medical Science University will soon introduce 20 Specialty Fellowship Certificate courses as pilot project at the Bhopal-based Government Homoeopathy College from ongoing session. Each course will have 6 months duration.

The students, who completed their BHMS degree from different Government and private homoeopathic colleges, will be eligible to secure admission in these courses. Sharing the details of new courses, Dr R S Sharma, Vice Chancellor, MP Medical Science University told ‘The Hitavada’ that the University’s Executive Committee has already taken necessary decisions to initiate these courses.

However, before initiating the courses, the University administration will conduct inspection to ensure all the necessary guidelines are fulfilled. “At present, more than 75 percent students don’t show interest to opt for PG course after finishing BHMS course from different colleges. This ultimately resulted in decline in students’ strength in clinical courses in comparison to non-clinical subjects,” said Vice Chancellor, Dr Sharma.
