AIESEC Nagpur conducts ‘World’s Largest Lesson’

AIESEC Nagpur hosted an event - ‘World’s Largest Lesson’ which aims to bring a change in the world by spreading awareness about the sustainable development goals (SDGs) amongst children and young adults. AIESEC is an international organisation present in over 125+ countries. AIESEC India took an initiative to empower maximum number of youth by educating them about the SDGs in order to ensure that the future of the country is well on board with the issues people face and have a solution oriented approach to ensure a better tomorrow.
 
As a local chapter, AIESEC in Nagpur participated in this event where it partnered with three reputed schools in the city, namely Jain Heritage A Cambridge School, Sandipani School, Hazaripahad and Delhi Public School, Lava. The event started at 10 am from Police Line Takli Ground where a total of 370 young delegates assembled.
 
School busses then transported the delegates to the three schools. At 12.30 pm the delegates reached the schools and delivered an impactful session about the SDGs through various interactive activities and videos. The entire lesson delivery happened within one hour, not just in Nagpur, but across the country. The event was an outcome of a five month long process which was headed by Anisha Majumdar and her team of 9 core committee members namely Varun Chopra, Atharv Kuthe, Vaidehi Nerkar, Tufel Sharif, Nishita Singh, Anmol Malaviya, Chaitanya Rathi, Junaid Sheikh and Mohil Mehra. Paraangat Education and Genius Ninja were the goodwill partners for the event. A total of 3,370 people in Nagpur were empowered in one hour leading to the events success.
