Mountaineer Megha Parmar meeting Chief Minister Kamal Nath at Mantralaya on Monday.
Chief Minister Kamal Nath congratulated Megha Parmar, the first woman from Madhya Pradesh to have scaled Russia’s highest peak Mount Elbrus. Chief Minister said that, the State Government will extend full support to her efforts. Parmar called on the Chief Minister at the Mantralaya on Monday. On this occasion, Chief Secretary S R Mohanty was present.
A resident of Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh, Megha Parmar gave the message of ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ after reaching 18,510.44 ft high Mount Elbrus. The Women and Child Development Department has appointed Megha Parmar as the brand ambassador of the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign. She has also scaled the world’s highest peak Mount Everest in the past. For this, she was honoured by Chief Minister Kamal Nath and his Cabinet on June 3, 2019.
