Ashok Mishra, the celebrated filmmaker and screenplay writer was on a special visit to the popular KAPS Ice Cream Cafe situated at Rajendra Nagar in the Capital city. Sharing his views on the role of cinema vis-a-vis society during a special interaction session, Mishra said that he works for the movies which have scripts based on actual happenings in the society, wherever being part of the movie. He said that such films find acceptance among the people and succeed at the box office. Mishra, who has written scripts for acclaimed movies ‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’, ‘Well Done Abba’ and ‘Samar’ said that cinema is a mirror of society and people identify with movies that show truths from their daily lives.
 
This is why every aspect of their lives is re-searched before a movie is made, he added. In praise of Chhattisgarhi cinema, Mishra added that the film-making possibilities in State are continuously increasing and it is a good thing. Notable personalities who attended the session include Dr Yogendra Chaubey, Kaustubh Dharmadhikari, Prashant Subhramanyam, Shubhangi Apte, Sanjay Apte, Aastha Chaubey and Pallavi Shilpi.
