A DELEGATION of All India Bank Retirees Federation (AIBRF) Nagpur Forum led by President S B Butolia submitted a memorandum to Navneet Rana, MP Amravati. It was mentioned in the memorandum the issues of 10 lakh bank retirees which are pending for 22 years.

On the directives of AIBRF, bank retirees throughout the country are on agitation. They are submitting memorandum to various elected representatives requesting them to take up their matter with Ministry of Finance.
The demands include upgradation of pension which is as per Pension Regulation 1995. RBI has recently revised pension to their retirees. Revision of family pension which is at present 15 per cent of the basic pay whereas Central/State governments retired employees get 30 per cent of basic pay. Health insurance premium is paid for working employees by banks whereas retirees have to pay exorbitant premium plus 18 per cent GST.
Respective banks should pay the premium of retired bankers. AIBRF should get recognition as trade union by Indian Banks Association (IBA).

At Amravati, AIBRF Nagpur Forum held a meeting of all bank retirees and formed district co-ordination committee to carry out the activities of AIBRF. More than 150 retirees from various banks attended the meeting.
