All colleges either technical or traditional degree started college-level counselling round to fill up the vacant seats in several branched from Monday onwards. While Department of Higher Education (DHE) started registration for the CLC of UG seats, Directorate of Technical Education has started preparing list of shortlisted candidates. Online registration for engineering courses was already started on Sunday. Last date of admission to technical courses has been decided as August 14.
After registration, students are directed to verify their documents at help centres. DTE will be providing online allotment letter and branch change list on August 8 and then further process will be done. Officials said seats in most of institutes are still vacant so students who have already confirm their admission would have opportunity to change their subjects. DTE has concluded the admission to BE courses on Sunday with over 50% seats vacant. In second round about six thousand candidates confirmed their admission while in first round 14 thousand admissions were held. Last date of admission in second counselling round was August 4.
Based on the allotment letter, applicants are asked to confirm their admission by give date. Officials are expecting about 20,000 admissions in engineering courses. College level admission to engineering seats will be given to the applicants on August 9, 10, 13 and 14. Apart from this, after concluding the two rounds of admission to undergraduate courses, DHE is left with large number of seats vacant. College and DHE officials are expecting to fill up the vacant seats in CLC round with huge rush of students. Interestingly, CLC round will be continued for 25 days. According to DHE data, after two rounds of admission Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya (MVM) left with 37.51% vacant seats, Nutan College left with 27%, MLB Girls College left with 36.86% seats and Geetanjali Girls College has 47% seats vacant. Candidates wished to get admission on available seats are allowed to do their registration till August 13. Admission list of candidates will be released on August 19. Second phase of admission to post-graduate courses is continuing. DHE has allotted 31,656 PG seats to the applicants in several colleges.
All these candidates have been asked to confirm their admission on given seat with fee submission by August 6. According to DHE, there are more than 10,000 candidates generated their link for fee submission that confirm admission on allotted seat. For confirming their admission, it is mandatory to verify their document at concern college desk. This year officials have not scheduled third round of counselling for PG and UG courses. After the second round of admission, college level counselling will begin from August 8. For this CLC round, applicants will be called to confirm their registration from August 8 to 18. In first round of counselling about 33,000 applicants were confirmed their admission. After concluding the first round of PG admission, DHE left with over 50 per cent seats vacant in various colleges. Online registration for college level counselling will be held from August 8 to 13 and documents will be verified by August 14.
