EOW seizes 3 luxury vehicles of retd SDO in corruption case

Investigating the case of disproportionate property of over Rs 400 crore, a team of Economic Offences Wing (EOW) seized three luxury vehicles of retired SDO of Public Health Department (PHE) at Kajarwara, on Monday. EOW team led by DSP, Rajyavardhan Maheshwari and comprising woman Inspector, Chhavi Kanti Armo, Inspector, Swarnjeet Singh Dhami reached at bungalow of retired SDO, Suresh Upadhyay in Kajarwara and served notice of seizing his disproportionate properties and assets.
EOW team seized three luxury cars from the residence of Upadhyay. DSP, EOW, Rajyavardhan Maheshwari informed that, till the investigation is completed, Suresh Upadhyay and his family members have been prohibited from using, selling or transferring their movable and immovable assets. It may be noted that, EOW unearthed disproportionate properties amounting to Rs 400 crore from Suresh Upadhyay and his family members, including his wife Anuradha Upadhyay, son Sachin Upadhyay and partner Dheeraj Daryani.
EOW have seized disproportionate properties, including 62 registries and 300 acres land in 81 Khasra amounting to Rs 400 crore, bank balance of Rs 2.15 crore, cash of Rs 2.54 crore, luxurious bungalows in Kajarwara and Anantara, luxury vehicles amounting to Rs 56 lakh, jewellery amounting to Rs 44 lakh, etc.
