THE Unnao rape survivor, who was admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, Remains critical and is on life support system, a senior doctor at the hospital said on Tuesday. The Delhi Traffic Police on Monday created a green corridor to shift the rape survivor to the All India Institute of Medical Science Trauma Centre from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, covering a distance of around 14 km in 18 minutes. “She is sick and on life support system needing medication to support her blood pressure.
The patient remains critical and is undergoing treatment under multi-disciplinary team of doctors,” AIIMS Trauma Centre Chief Dr Rajesh Malhotra said. Court seeks status report on security of Unnao woman, family, witnesses: A DELHI court on Tuesday sought a status report from the CBI on steps taken to ensure security of the Unnao rape survivor, her family and witnesses. District Judge Dharmesh Sharma also sought a report on the boarding and lodging arrangements made for the family members accompanying the critically-injured woman, who was shifted to Delhi on Monday night for better treatment.
Lawyer of victim reaches AIIMS
THE Unnao rape victim’s lawyer, Mahendra Singh, reached the AIIMS Trauma Centre here on Tuesday afternoon. The lawyer, injured in a July 28 truck-car crash along with the victim, was flown from Lucknow and reached the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at 1.30 p.m., said Manish Aggarwal, Director of the Aeromed International Rescue Services.
DCW chief meets kin of survivor
DELHI Commission For Women (DCW) Chief Swati Maliwal on Tuesday met the family members of the Unnao rape survivor at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and said her condition continues to be critical. Maliwal had also met the victim and her family at the hospital in Lucknow where she was admitted following the accident of the car she was travelling in.
