THE Dharampeth Mahila Multi-State Co-op Society (DMS) is celebrating its Silver Jubilee year in a special way by launching the DMS-2019 deposit scheme for its members. The DMS-2019 is a double benefit scheme in which members can deposit Rs 1,000 every month for five years and after the tenth year will get Rs 1,05,000 in return. In addition to this, members can avail loan facility of 80 per cent on the amount deposited with the society at 10 per cent rate of interest.
This was revealed by Nileema Bawne, Chairperson of the Society while speaking at a press conference on Wednesday. The attractive scheme has been introduced for members taking into consideration the auspicious month of ‘Shravan’. In the scheme, members can increase the amount to be deposited in the scheme according to their requirements.
The monthly deposit scheme has been formulated in such a way as to meet future requirements of women members for their childrens education or marriage requirement, she said. Furthermore, the society will be extending women entrepreneurs loans ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 crore to grow their businesses. Also, DMS will be uploading balance sheet on its website www.dpmahila.com to bring in more transparency. The society has deposits worth Rs 1,100 crore, advances at Rs 606 crore, business mix of Rs 25 crore and NPAs at 2.96 per cent as on March 31, 2019. On the occasion, Sarika Pendse, Vice-Chairperson, Advocate Pratap Hirani, Legal Advisor, Chandrashekar Wasule, MD and large number of employees were also present.
