Nagpur City Police have organised ‘Sursandhya, a musical programme to raise police welfare at Mankapur Indoor Stadium at 6 pm onwards on August 10. Popular singer Neha Kakkar, Bollywood actor Varun Sharma, television star Divyanka Tripathi, actress Urvashi Rautela, comedian Ali Asgar, actress Natasha Suri and city- based artist Ishaan Khan will entertain the audience. Additional Commissioner of Police (North Region) Dr Shashikant Mahavarkar, Deputy Commissioners of Police Chinmay Pandit (Traffic), Vivek Masal (Zone I) and Vinita Sahu (Zone II) told mediapersons that the target was to raise Rs 4.60 crore for police welfare fund. So far, Rs 3.80 crore have been collected.
The fund would be utilised for higher education of meritorious wards of police personnel, providing assistance to the families of police personnel who sacrificed their lives in line of duty, provision of easy loans to police personnel in case of medical or other emergencies, short term loans to the children of police personnel to start small scale enterprise and facilities for sport activities.
Informing about the traffic and other arrangements, Chinmay Pandit said that entry for persons with Rs 1000 and multi-colour passes would be from Gate No 1.Entry for persons holding blue, green and yellow passes would be from Gate No 2. Parking of vehicles for persons with Rs 1000 tickets and multi-coloured passes would be at the open space in front of the stadium. For Blue, green and yellow pass holders would park their vehicles behind the stadium.
