BJP starts ‘Ghantanaad’ protest to expose Cong’s failures

Lambasting failure and false commitments of Congress-led Government, BJP started ‘Ghantanaad Aandolan’ across the State on Wednesday. The protest was staged at all district headquarters. In Jabalpur ‘Ghantanaad Aandolan’ was organised under the leadership of Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, Gopal Bhargava. A large number of BJP leaders and workers assembled at Naudara Bridge and took out Ghantanaad rally towards the Collectorate. In order to maintain law and order arrangements, heavy police force was deployed and protest rally was stopped at Ghantaghat.
 
Taking a serious note on aggressing of BJP leaders and workers, police used water cannons to disperse the agitated crowd. BJP leaders including Gopal Bhargava, City President, G S Thakur, Rural President, Omprakash Patel, MLA, Ajay Vishnoi, MLA, Ashok Rohani, MLA, Sushil Tiwari, MLA, Nandini Maravi, Mayor Dr Swati Godbole, Jila Panchayat President, Manorama Patel, former MLA, Anchal Sonkar, Harendrajeet Singh, Pratibha Singh, former Mayor, Prabhat Sahu, Dr Jitendra Jamdar and a large number of workers courted arrest. Speaking on the occasion, Gopal Bhargava said that Ghantanaad Aandolan aims to awaken the Congress Government to hear grievances of residents and provide them basis amenities. He charged that Chief Minister Kamal Nath duped unemployed people by alluring their votes in the name of providing unemployment allowance or providing them employment.
 
The Government has failed in fulfilling its commitments made in Vachan Patra to provide employment and waiving off agricultural loan of Rs 2 lakh. He charged that the Congress Government had conducted more than 50,000 transfers to earn money and law and order arrangements went out of control. Mining mafia is being given open support while corrupt practices proving troublesome for the residents. He also said that former Chief Minister of Congress is operating his separate Government in the State and the State is facing setback of internal bickering in the party.
 
In the rally, BJP leaders and workers rang bells to awaken Congress Government and expose failure of Congress leaders in providing services to the residents. During the demonstration, a large number of BJP leaders and workers raised slogans against Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Congress Government for duping innocent public of Madhya Pradesh. On the occasion, Anand Bernard, Sadanand Godbole, Sandeep Jain, Rajesh Mishra, Shivram Ben, Akhilesh Jain, Rajnish Yadav, Trishna Chaterjee, Yogendra Rajput, Sharad Tamrakar, Ravindra Pachori, Shrikant Sahu and a large number of workers were present.
