Cleanliness drive against plastic goods begins at Jabalpur stn

With an aim to create awareness among people to stop single use plastic made goods, massive cleanliness drive against plastic made goods was started by top brass of Jabalpur division. Also that a pledge was administered to officers and employees on the occasion to make station free from plastic menace. The cleanliness drive against plastic goods also launched Swachhta Hi Sewa in Railways by Divisional Rail Manager Jabalpur Dr Manoj Singh.
 
The special move will continue till 150th Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. According to information, a massive cleanliness drive aimed to create awareness among people to stop single use plastic goods was initiated at Jabalpur station. The drive was launched by DRM Jabalpur Dr Manoj Singh in consonance with Swachhta Hi Sewa in Railways. The move gathered momentum after top brass of Jabalpur division rendered their services to pick up plastic goods. A pledge was administered to officers and employees to make Jabalpur station free from plastic made goods.
 
After the pledge was administered, Railway officers and employees swung into action and started picking up plastic goods that included polybags and goods made out of plastic. After plastic goods were collected from station campus, circulating area, parking area, Neelambari building, Railway colonies were summarily dumped in garbage bins. Under the pledge administered by DRM Jabalpur Dr Manoj Singh it was asserted that all Railway men will make minimum efforts to make residential, Railway campus and other public places free from plastic menace.
 
It was said that people must refrain from using plastic. On Wednesday in Mathura, PM Narendra Modi launched a similar national-level campaign. And the cleanliness drive launched at Jabalpur is in accordance with the national drive. Top brass of Jabalpur division present were Additional DRM Anju Mohanpuria, Sr DCM Basant Kumar Sharma, Dr RN Mishra, Abhiram Khare, Mani Bhushan Singh RRK Singh, Rajesh Kamboj, Manoj Kumar Gupta, Idrish Mohammed, Rohit Malviya, Devesh Soni, Manish Patel, AKS Yadav, Pankaj Dubey and many other officers and employees took active participation.
