Delegation of Oil Merchants Association welcomes new FDA Joint Commissioner

A delegation of city based oil merchants recently met the new Joint Commissioner of Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) C B Pawar. The delegation led by Rajesh Thakkar, President of Oil Merchants Association along with other office-bearers welcomed Pawar and appraised him about the local market. On the occasion, Thakkar told the Joint Commissioner that more 60 traders are engaged in oil trade in the city while 15-20 units are doing packaging of oil.
 
Pawar has recently taken the charge of FDA Joint Commissioner in Nagpur. “It was a courtesy visit. More over we wanted to share information about the local market and our association with the new Joint Commissioner,” Thakkar told The Hitavada soon after the meeting. Thakkar welcomed Pawar and A B Kulkarni, FDA Officer with a floral bouquet.
 
The delegation after introducing the members, discussed various issues with the Joint Commissioner. Pawar assured the visitors to extend all possible cooperation to the traders and packers. Parmanand Motiyani, Secretary; Harish Fulwani, Treasurer; Hajarilal Nagpal, Purshottam Fulwani, Sunny Thakkar, Ashok Asrani, Yogesh Jethani and other members were also present on the occasion. It is important to note that oil prices are experiencing pressure becuse of the slowdown. “The prices are low becuase of unsatisfactory demand. However, after 10-12 days, the demand will go up,” said Thakkar.
