Immense loss
Sir,
Veteran lawyer and former Law Minister Mr. Ram Jethmalani passed away. He was an exceptional attorney and a great parliamentarian. He is an icon for many in the legal world. India will commemorate his legal ideology. We need more prominent lawyers like him to fill the loss and to make the Indian legal system a robust system in the world. India has lost an eminent jurist. He was ‘fearless’ and a ‘crusader in both law and politics.’ He was a power house of knowledge and never shied from speaking his mind. His demise is a huge loss for the entire legal fraternity.
Tushar Marmat Kudos
Sir,
The article ‘Even Science is quite unpredictable’ in Cityline by Vijay Phanshikar is very thought provoking and pointing to insanity of Scientific world. Most of the renowned innovations in this world happened accidentally. ‘The light from the stars once there’ and ‘What the electron does when it is not under experimentations and observations’ and from where does it evolve are still hidden realities as the concept of God itself is quite incomprehensible to a mere human being!!
Experimentation in the field of Quantum mechanics reveal more probabilities than certainties. It is for sure that certain basic factors and pre-conditions are very much necessary for the experiments and even a little bit of change produces a different result. The world of Science is so fascinating that it made Edison to term his thousand failures as thousand different ways the theory won’t work.
Adopting a different way and trying again fetch good result for a Scientist and that is what our Scientists at ISRO focus on now. This is what our present generation should patiently realise....A thousand steps and ways to correct ourselves scientifically, morally and spiritually. Resmi Umesh, Nagpur
To go for impossible
Sir,
To become big we have to first think big. Developing a penchant to go for the impossible and making it look within the sight is the biggest thing. India has demonstrated this fact very well now in Chandrayaan-2. Undeniably, a tone is well set for a big leap forward and one can look forward to interesting and exciting times ahead. Full marks to the Team ISRO and the BJP Government for initiating a giant step in space exploration. S. Umashankar, Nagpur
