NSSCDC sanctions 30 proposals in board meeting

THE meeting of directors of Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation (NSSCDC), was held on Tuesday. Praveen Pardeshi, Mentor of Nagpur Smart City and Commissioner of Brihan Mumbai Muncipal Corporation presided over the meeting. Mayor Sandeep Joshi, Standing Committee Chairman of NMC Pradeep Pohane, Leader of Ruling Party of NMC Sandeep Jadhav, Leader of BSP in NMC Vaishali Narnavre, Corporator Mangala Gawre, Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay, NMC Commissioner Abhijit Bangar, District Collector Ravindra Thakre, Director Aniruddha Shenvai, MLA Krishna Khopde, Deputy Mayor Manisha Kothe and others were present at the meeting. Dr Ramnath Sonawane, CEO Smart City, welcomed all the newly-appointed board members. Praveen Pardeshi, expressed satisfaction over the work in progress under Project Tendre Sure.
 
“The project-affected people and elected representatives are co-operating for the projects which is good sign,” he said. He also directed to complete the remaining road construction at the earliest. Under Nagpur Smart City project from Pardi Bharatwada Punapur and Bhandewadi area, construction of road measuring 10 km is going on. To supply drinking water to the people of these areas construction of 4 overhead water tank is also started.
 
Construction of small and big bridges over Nag river has also commenced. Thirty projects were discussed and given approval during the meeting. The board also made amendment in the rehabilitation policy for workers involved in construction of project Rs 5,000 house rent per month was sanctioned. Similarly for construction under the industrial area, house rent for worker of Rs 10,000 was also approved. If the house is more than 700 square feet, rent of Rs 7.50 per square feet was approved.
 
Smart City has till now given compensation of Rs 2.92 crore, which was also approved during the board meeting. Approval for solar based electrical vehicle charging station at Mor Bhavan for electrical vehicle was given. The project cost of Rs 4 crore was sanctioned. Approval to zero waste policy was also given, both the projects were prepared by Smart City Fellow. For zero waste project provision of Rs 34.18 crore was made.
