The day-two of All India Oriental Conference (AIOC) organised by Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU) witnessed various events and activities like the 2nd Shashtraarth Parishad, book exhibition, lecture series, paper presentations and cultural programmes. The 2nd Shashtraarth Parishad took place at Dattopanth Thengdi Hall, Smruti Mandir, Reshimbagh on Saturday in which Prof Mani Dravid Shastri presided over. Prof Korada Subrammanyam, Dr Narayana Pujar, Prof Veernarayana Pandurangi, Prof Kompella Rama Suryanarayana, Prof Ranga Ramanujacharya, Pandit Maheswaran, Dr Chandrashekhar Joshi and Shruthi K S were the expert speakers of the Parishad.

The Parishad saw intellectual discussion over innovative sciences. Prof Korda Subramaniyam was observer of the session. Dr Narayan Pujari spoke about Dwait Vedant, Prof Pandurangi discussed about studying Vedas, Prof Suryanarayan highlighted literature, while Prof Ramanujacharya shared his thoughts on Vishist Dwait. Pandit Maheshwaram discussed Mimansa. Dr Joshi spoke about ancient justice and thoughtful inputs on grammar. Some science based discussions attracted the attention of intellects present at the session. In his presidential address, Mani Dravid Shastri congratulated all the participating speakers. He mentioned that although it was difficult illustrate whole subject in a limited time, the speakers have made sincere efforts.
 
Also, two books were released during the Parishad. CISFA students made portraits of guests of the Parishad which was appreciated by all. Prof Srinivasa Varkheedi, Vice-Chancellor of KKSU, was prominently present during the event. A large number of students and research scholars were present to understand the new perspective through the Scriptures.
 
 
AIOC’s national book expo attracts book lovers Thousands of people thronged into the National Book Exhibition held on the occasion of AIOC at Reshimbagh Ground on Saturday. Kavi Kulguru Kalidas University (KKSU), Ramtek has ensured that Nagpur book lovers must get a treat of ample reading material. Publication Department of Central Government offered handsome discounts on varieties of books, novels, etc. This was an irresistible stop for all book lovers. Presence of renowned publication houses added varied flavours to the exhibitions as the stalls offered ample options in various category of subjects. Prasad Prakashan, Pune KKSU stall, French Institute of Pondicherry added the pinch of exclusivity to the exhibition. The exhibition has surprised everybody by making available the rare Sanskrit books collection. The scriptures, old and new editions of prominent literatures, books of eminent writers and research based books steal the show. Visitors can get chance to buy variety of books like Systems of Sanskrit Grammar; Raja Yoga; Meditation and Royal Path; Indian Philosophy; Mahakavya in Sanskrit, English- Sanskrit Dictionary, Gems and Astrology, Dharmashastra on Law and Ethics, Yog Vidnyan, Bhartiya Sanskruti, and Raghuvansh Mahakavyam, etc were just a few among the treasure of books that were seen at the fair. Bagwad Gita, Durga Saptashati, Stree Sukta, Purush Sukta grabbed attraction of many visitors. 
 
Kalidasian’s Green Team join hands to make event eco-friendly Being 50th session of AIOC, the KKSU has tried to make the session eco-friendly. “Green and Clean” theme is followed by all the volunteers and staffers of University making it as green team. It has made the maximum materials required for the conference in eco-friendly manner. Prof Shrinivasa Varakhedi gave guidance and inspiration to promote, propagate for this eco-theme based conference. He has taken initiation and gave suggestion to create these Green Team under the leadership of Varada Malge who is alumni of KKSU and strive hard for environmental issues. Kalidasian’s Green Team has gone completely plastic free by replacing typical plastic items by some alternative ones. Registration kit included jute bag, paper pen, I-Card without Plastic Cover. The premises was made eco-friendly ensuring least use of plastic and other pollutants. Single use plastics is avoided as much as possible during the whole conference. Even the cutlery is not of plastic. Alternatives are used instead. Plastic bottles (PET) if used will be sent for recycling. This entire set of efforts are made so that the entire event remains green and clean. Malge and her group work hard under the leadership of Prof Varakhedi, Prof Madhusudan Penna with the help of Prof K Pandey, Dr Parag Joshi, Pravin Kalambe and Jui Pandharipande to make the event eco-friendly.
