Elaborating on the advantages of chatbot, Shubham Rangari on Saturday said that the software is helping companies resolve various queries of their customers in a very effective manner. He was speaking at the seminar organised here by the Nagpur Chapter of TiE held at Chitnavis Centre in Civil Lines. A chatbot is a piece of software that conducts a conversation via auditory or textual methods and it is being widely used by various retail, financial and other companies. Rangari said that chatbot is very cost effective and it saves time of both - companies and customers.
 
“In most of the cases, customers get satisfactory solution of their issues by way of using chatbot. It is also helping for the customers to know in detail about the company, its products and services even without visiting the company,” he said adding that it shows how technology is increasing interaction between the seller and the buyer. Complex queries of the customers can also be replied by chatbots, Shantanu said emphasizing on it use in finance and blockchain. Shantanu further spoke about Natural Language Processing (NLP) in detail highlighting how its use is rapidly growing.
 
Through NLP computers understand human language. In the realm of chatbots, NLP is used to determine a user’s intention and to extract information from an utterance and to carry on a conversation with the user in order to execute and complete a task. Apart from this, a panel discussion on chatbot was held wherein Swapnil Meshram, CTO Youbotics; Ishwar Golani; Devops Engineer Youbotics; Shantanu Sharma; Founder ProCohat; Madhura Deshpande, Project Manager Floor walk; and Shubham Rangari took part. Nidhi Bawashe, Executive Director, TiE Nagpur moderated the panel discussion. Ishwar spoke about Youbotics, world’s first bot technical video interview using NLP processing and deep learning.
 
He also gave demonstration of YouBotics AI Technical interview Shantanu Sharma, Google Developer Forum Head - Nagpur, Founder of ProcoHat, a company which uses block chain and computer vision, explained the process of creating NLP chatbots using dialogflow and its application in finance and blockchain. Madhura showed the demo of how flowwalk chatbot works and guides the users. At the outset, Nitin Sachdeva, President TiE Nagpur, introduced the speakers. Milind Chittawar, Immediate Past President - TiE Nagpur proposed the formal vote of thanks.
