IN A tragic incident, three people, including a girl and a boy, were killed and 11 others were injured after a speeding bus rammed into a parked truck in Mangeli village under the jurisdiction of Bargi police station in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. Two of the deceased have been identified as Mansi Tiwari (18), a resident of Sagra in Rewa district and Ranu alias Narayan Rajput (20), a resident of Mangeli village in Bargi and a 60-year-old unidentified person.
 
According to Bargi police, in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, police received information of a road accident in Mangeli village. Receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and found that a bus of Gautam Travels, Satna, (UP-75M-4877) carrying passengers from Banda (Uttar Pradesh) to Nagpur rammed into a hywa (MP-20GA-8111) parked at roadside. In the mishap, two passengers were killed, while a boy standing near hywa also succumbed to critical injuries. Around 11 passengers were injured.
 
The injured have been identified as Ram Avtar Kushwaha (45), a resident of Lamti in Nagpur, Roshni Yadav (25), a resident of Banda (UP), Santosh Tiwari (44) of Sagra village, Rewa district, Rahul Khadse (25), of Kamleshwar, Nagpur, Dola Prajapati (50), Ashok Prajapati (5), residents of Ahirgaon in Satna district, Sarita Dwivedi (33), resident of Pahadikhera in Panna district, Shankar Kol (50) of Kulariya village in Satna district, Shyama Bai Kol (40) of Uchehra in Satna, Dheerendra Pandey (38) of Singhpur in Satna and helper Dilip Rajput (18), resident of Mangeli village, Bargi. The injured were rushed to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital where their condition is reported to be stable and are undergoing treatment. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem after panchnama. Bargi police have registered a case while further investigations are underway to ascertain the reason behind the accident and identification of unidentified deceased.
