Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the efforts of Chhattisgarh Government for developing 90 per cent of its police stations tech-friendly. The Prime Minister expressed his happiness during an interaction with Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary R P Mandal through the Prime Minister’s office portal ‘PRAGATI’, the ICT based multi-modal platform for pro-active governance and timely implementation, on Wednesday.
 
The Prime Minister reviewed the Crime and Criminal Tracking Networks and System (CCTNS) in Chhattisgarh. Chief Secretary Mandal informed the Prime Minister that there are 446 police stations in Chhattisgarh, out of which 437 police stations have been computerised.
 
Accoring to information, nine police stations, which are located in remote areas, will be transformed into tech-friendly. These police stations are 2 each in Sukma, Dantewada, Narayanpur and Bastar districts, and 1 in Rajnandgaon districts. Four police stations out of nine police stations will have online by the end of this month. 26,500 police personnel out of 27,000 police personnel have been trained under the CCTNS in the state, Mandal informed the Prime Minister.
