Police Inspector, Milind Totre, attached to Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Nagpur; Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Battulal Pandey, attached to Crime Branch of City Police; and Head Constable Satish Ingle of Railway Protection Force (RPF), SECR, Nagpur Division, have been awarded President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the eve of Republic Day. PI Totre joined the police force in 1989.
 
He worked at Sonegaon and Rana Pratap Nagar police stations for four years and initiated action against migrants of other States under the National Security Act. He also served in Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Bureau of Immigration on Central Deputation. He was posted as Immigration Officer-II at Attari check post in Punjab on India-Pakistan border. During his posting at Nagpur, he investigated important cases like Sports Material Scam in NMC, Tankar Scam, Pintu Shirke murder case and so on.
 
A recipient of 200 prizes for outstanding service, PI Totre is investigating the multi-crore Irrigation Scam as DySP ACB Nagpur. ASI Battulal Pandey, who is presently attached to the Crime Branch Unit No. 4, joined Nagpur City Police force in 1988. He was shifted to Nagpur City Police in 1992. A recipient of 341 prizes for outstanding service, Pandey worked at Ajni Traffic, Kotwali, Sakkardara, Gittikhadan, Nandanvan police stations.
 
He played a key role in detection of Naya Mandir theft, abduction of a child, kidnapping and murder of Kush Katariya, Divya murder case. HC Satish Ingle of RPF joined the force in 1998. He was instrumental in detecting various rackets involved in black-marketing of train tickets. Ingle had also seized 37 Kg of ganja from Ahmedabad Express.
