Law and order has improved due to implementation of three-tier strategy of security, trust and development, says Governor 
 
Asserting that Naxal violence and other crimes have declined in State due to vigilant police force and several initiatives in justice delivery, Governor Anusuiya Uikey said that the Government has improved law and order with the three-tier strategy of security, trust and development. Several steps from weekly leave to response allowance have played a role in boosting the morale of the police force. The Naxal Rehabilitation Action Plan has been made more attractive.
 
Public awareness campaign is being conducted to prevent chit fund, cyber crime, human trafficking in State. Anjor Rath, Janamitra, Village Defence Committees, Senior Citizen Cell, Women's Helpdesk etc. have established new paradigms of community policing. Governor Anusuiya Uikey hoisted the National Flag at the function organised at Police Parade Ground in Capital. She inspected the attractive parade and took the salute. The Governor extended her good wishes to the people of State and said that today is the day to express gratitude to the great leaders who gave India the best constitution in the world.
 
The Governor said that her government has taken such new initiatives in the last one year, due to which every citizen's confidence of getting equal opportunity and justice has gone up. She said that the government has started providing relief to the most backward regions, weakest sections and the most needy people of State. Land withdrawal in Lohandiguda, Rs 4,000 per standard bag tendupatta collection remuneration, review of revoked forest rights claims, making the process of distribution of community forest rights pattas fast, acquittal of innocent tribals from criminal cases, purchase of 22 minor forest produce on support price, Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyaan and a number of decisions like Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinic Scheme have been well received.
 
The Governor said that decisions such as paddy procurement at Rs 2,500 per quintal coupled with loan waiver have boosted the morale of farmers. In a multi-faceted initiative for the development of ‘Narwa, Garwa, Ghurwa, Bari’, Chhattisgarh has presented a new model of environmentally sustainable development. In the new industrial policy, such provisions have been made so that ‘value addition’ of local resources, minerals and local produce takes place and people can get better employment opportunities at the local level. The Governor said that government has given attention to sports and other disciplines along with education to increase the career opportunities for the youth. The efforts made in this direction are the formation of Chhattisgarh Sports Authority, increase in prize money for medal winners in national competitions and organising state-level youth festival.
 
The Governor said that the State Government is committed to provide Rs 3,000 under monthly pension scheme. A holistic policy is being formulated for the welfare of the unorganised workers. New steps are being taken for the welfare of organised workers and construction workers. The Governor said that the State Government has taken innovative initiative to fulfill the promise of providing cashless treatment facility. Accordingly under the Dr Khoobchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme, 56 lakh families will get the facility of treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
