The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the dates for Chartered Accountants (CA) examinations scheduled in May 2020. The exams will be held from May 2 to May 18.
As per the announcement dated January 1 on the ICAI website, the CA Foundation examinations will be conducted at six centres in Vidarbha region. These centres include Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Gondia, and Yavatmal.
As per the notification, Foundation Course examination under new scheme will be held on May 11, 13, 15, and 17. Intermediate (IPC) Course examination under old scheme, for Group-I will be conducted on May 3, 5, 8, and 10. That for Group-II will be held on May 12, 14, and 16.
The Intermediate Course examination under new scheme will be held on May 3, 5, 8, and 10 for Group-II, and on May 12, 14, 16, and 18 for Group-II. The final course examination under old and new scheme will be held on May 2, 4, 6, and 9 for Group-I. That for Group-II will be held on May 11, 13, 15, and 17. The Part-I examination in International Trade Laws and World Trade Organisation will be held on May 3 and 5 for Group-A, and on May 8 and 10 for Group-B.
The International Taxation assessment test will be held on May 11 and May 13. “There would be no change in the examination schedule in the event of any day of the examination schedule being declared a Public Holiday by the Central Government or any State Government/Local Holiday,” states the announcement on ICAI website.
The application process for admission to Foundation, Intermediate (IPC), Intermediate and Final examinations will be conducted from February 5 to 26. The candidates are required to apply online at https://icaiexam.icai.org, and remit the examination fee online.
The result of CA examination in May is likely to be announced in August. The registration process for CA exam in November will be conducted in August-September.
