Tara Yadav taking review of Slums and Awas Yojana scheme at NMC office

The beneficiaries of Ramai Gharkul scheme would get the cheques from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) in near future, said Tara alias Laxmi Yadav, Chairperson, Slum Areas Development Committee. A meeting of committee was recently held at NMC Central Office at Civil Lines. It took stock of Ramai Gharkul Scheme, SRA, Prime Minister Awas Yojana, distribution of land rights. Yadav took stock of the status of Ramai Gharkul of all the ten zones of NMC.
She directed officials to present the list of beneficiaries and ordered that a programme be held within a week for handing over the cheques to them. Under SRA, NMC has constructed housing scheme at Uppalwadi and the Committee Members undertook a study tour wherein they found several shortcomings during talks with residents. The people residing there wanted a compound wall, a pucca road from main road to locality. Asked about the same, officials said proposals are already under programme and same would be completed very soon.
The Committee is also going to inspect site for Prime Minister Housing Scheme. As to distribution of land rights, talks were held with officials of NIT, Nazul and after measurement of land final work would be completed. The meeting was attended by Lata Kadgaye, Chairperson, Dhantoli Zone, Gargi Chopra, Chairperson, Mangalwari Zone, Abhiruchi Rajgire, Chairperson, Satranjipura, Members-Anil Gendre, Parasram Manwatkar and Bhavna Lonare, from officials - Rajendra Rahate, Executive Engineer, Slums, Girish Wasnik, Executive Engineer, and representatives of various zone.
