ALL India Bank Retirees Federation, (AIBRF) has declared their support to the one day strike called by Central Trade Unions on January 8. K Jagadeesan, Unit Secretary, Bank of India Retirees Association (Maha-Goa -AIBRF), Vice President, AIBRF -Nagpur Forum has informed through a press release. He said that four working bank unions will also be joining the one day strike. As per the directive of All India Bank Retirees Federation, the retirees throughout the country will be joining the protest rally. In city a rally has been organised at Bank of India by working unions at 10.30 am.
From their a procession will be taken and proceed to Samvidhan Chowk. Bank Retirees under the banner of All India Bank Retirees Federationin city will be joining the rally at Samvidhan Chowk, near RBI. K Jagadeesan, has appealed to all bank retirees to assemble in large numbers as every body knows retirees major issues, updation of dearness allowance (DA) enhancement of family pension, relaxation of premium in health insurance and abolition of GST from Insurance premium.
Banking services at branches and ATMs could be hit at several places as employees and officers union leaders have asked their members to stay away from work. The All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC) has issued a circular asking members to not demand nor accept any keys tomorrow. The bank strike will affect transaction to the tune of crores in the Nagpur and other places.
