Arun Motors Maruti Suzuki Arena, an authorised dealer of Maruti Suzuki has been recently launched by Arun Group at Khamla Square, Ring Road, Nagpur. This was revealed by Karan Patni, Managing Director of Arun Motors Maruti Suzuki Arena while talking to The Hitavada. He said that Arun Bajaj, one of the leading Bajaj two-wheeler dealers of the city since 1981 (initially started by late Kamal Kumar Patni in 1960, in some other name) has expanded its presence in the two-wheeler segment with dealership of KTM, Husqvarna (Swedish brand motor bike), Samsung and now by opening the Maruti Suzuki car dealership by the name Arun Motors Maruti Suzuki Arena.

“Its the trust and faith of customers, we are banking on and Arun Group is scaling the ladder of success day by day,” he said. Karan is leading the Group’s new Arun Motors Maruti Suzuki Arena dealership which includes the state-of-the-art technology driven showroom at Khamla Square and workshop at MIDC. Sharing his experience about opening the new dealership during the current pandemic, Karan Patni said, “As compared to the national sales figure of Maruti Suzuki during August 2019, there is an increase of 20 per cent in August 2020. I am also overwhelmed with the booking and response to our infant dealership.” He further added that in the car segment, brand reputation counts, even the location of the dealership is also important. “Maruti Suzuki is a well-known brand with multiple advantages like availability of service centres across the country, which is rare with other brands.

Also car owners can easily get availability of spare parts, resale value etc.,” Patni said. He added, “The pandemic has changed the mindset of people and the demand for personal vehicles has increased. People are now trying to avoid public mode of transport. Even now the disposable income of people has increased, as entertainment, hoteling, travelling and other expenses of people has came down drastically during the pandemic.” Sharing his view about the city car market and Arun Motors share, Patni said, “The city has average monthly sale of 1,700 units, out of which 1,000 units are of Maruti. We have targeted only 10 per cent monthly sale of Maruti.”

Explaining his future plans, Karan Patni said, “We will soon be starting Maruti True Value showroom followed by Nexa dealership and branches in the up-country. Even the dealership of Maruti commercial vehicles is also in planning stage.” He added that fair dealing, transparency and after sale services were the values which helped the group to retain its customers from generations.

Karan Patni, who had done B.Tech from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune in the year 2010, had worked with Bajaj Auto, Pune as Country Manager handling complete sales and dealer development for Western and Southern Africa-working in markets like Togo, Burkina, Faso, Mozambique, Ghana, Angola and Madagascar till 2013, before taking dive into family business.
