With stir over, RTMNU declares new exam time-table

 

 

With non-teaching staff of universities and colleges have decided to suspend their pen down strike and re-join the work, the university is geared up to hold examinations of final semester of final year. On Friday, the examination section of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) swung into action and declared time-table of 40 examinations mostly of Engineering, Science, Commerce and Arts. The examinations will start on October 8 and will conclude on October 31.

 

Director of Examinations and Evaluation of RTMNU Dr Prafulla Sable told ‘The Hitavada’, “We are supposed to conduct 190 examinations on-line. We are ready with the time-table of 40 examinations as on today. Within next two days the time-tables for remaining examinations will be declared.”

 

Earlier, the pen-down strike of non-teaching staff had compelled university to postpone the examinations. Because of strike all the work in Examination Department had come to standstill and the University on September 29 had to postpone the examinations. Meanwhile, the President of the Action Committee of the strikers met Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant, who assured them that their issues would be resolved regarding implementation of recommendations by Seventh Pay Commission. With this assurance the non-teaching staff suspended the strike temporarily.

 

After the suspension of strike Vice-Chancellor Dr Subhash Chaudhari convened an urgent meeting with Examination Department regarding checking the preparedness. Dr Sable and his team showed readiness for conducting examinations.

 

Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has earned its name for becoming the first university in Maharashtra to be ready with Pariksha app as Maharashtra Government had asked universities to conduct on-line examinations. After 3.5 lakh students downloaded the app, the university imposed certain restrictions and introduced OTP system to avoid any mishandling by anybody.

 

If any student wants to download Admission Card, he or she has to download link https://www.rtmnuresults.org/student.aspx and upload the mobile number and name of examination. After filling those details the student will get One-Time Password (OTP), on validation of which the admit card will be downloaded.
