High Court to resume limited physical hearing from November 2

Limited physical hearing at Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court will start from November 2 with Chief Justice (CJ) Dipankar Datta himself heading the constitution division bench during the first week. On November 2 and 3 the, division bench will be headed by Chief Justice Datta while Senior Administrative Judge Ravi Deshpande will be his brother judge.
 
Due to subsisting risk of COVID-19, only limited matters will be taken by few benches and entry to court premises will remain restricted. For the remaining days and matters, hearing will be conducted only through video-conferencing. Social distancing norms will be enforced strictly and only one advocate per matter or senior advocate engaged to argue the matter and their registered clerk will be permitted inside the court building.
 
One division bench and one single judge bench will hear matters through physical hearing on November 2, 3 and 6 while there will be two division benches on November 4 and one single judge bench on November 5 for physical hearing. For existing mode of virtual hearing, there will be three division benches and one single judge bench till November 6 where maximum matters will be listed.
