Minister of Forest Sanjay Rathod to be the Contact Minister for Nagpur
As a part of cleansing Shiv Sena in Nagpur, the city unit has witnessed a major revamp. Old buddies are brought in and present ones are shown the doors. It is the mixture of old and the one who recently joined Shiv Sena. The people who recently joined Party are given important positions. Dushyant Chaturvedi, considered to be the close confidant of Aditya Uddhav Thackeray, Minister of Tourism played a major role in this change. For the first time probably, Shiv Sena came up with an idea of appointing contact minister that would form bridge between organisation and Government.
Sanjay Rathod, Minister of Forest, has been appointed as Contact Minister for Nagpur and Nanded. After taking over by Chaturvedi as Contact Head of Nagpur unit, Shiv Sena has become vibrant, and incoming from other parties began. Congress started experiencing cracks as many joined Shiv Sena. Pramod Manmode, Deepak Kapse, senior leaders of Congress who came into the party fold, have been given the important positions in new body. While Manmode has been made in-charge Mahanagarpramukh (city head), Kapse will work as city chief for Nagpur Central, South, South-West. Kishor Kumeria, the lone Corporator of the party who was once Deputy Mayor, was ignored all these days, got the responsibility of Sahsampark Pramukh (Nagpur Central and South) Satish Harde and Shekhar Sawarbandhe, former Congress leaders, already earned trust of Party too were given the job of Sahsamparkpramukhs like Kumeria. Harde will look after South-West and North; Sawarbandhe to take care of East and West.
Sawarbandhe remained Corporator for several years. Sawarbandhe, too, was Deputy Mayor for one term. According to political pundits, the change may reflect in the upcoming elections of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) where Sena can improve its performance. Bandu Talwekar, another senior Shivsainik who once was Corporator made Upmahanagarpramukh for Nagpur North. Along with Kapse, Nitin Tiwari too became city head for Nagpur North, East and West. Tiwari along with Hitesh Yadav in the past have tried to create the impact of Shiv Sena in city. Responsibility of Mahanagar Sanghatak was bestowed on the shoulders of Vishal Barbate, Kishor Parate and Mangesh Kashikar another loyal Shivsainiks.
They will look after Nagpur North, East; West and Central; South, South-West respectively. Apart from Talwekar, Guddu Rahangdale (Nagpur East), Digambar Thakre (Nagpur West) will work as Upmahanagarpramukh. Dushyant Chaturvedi while talking to ‘The Hitavada’, “All appointments are made as per the instructions issued by Shivsena Pakshpramukh and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. We all are the Party and will work to fulfill the party’s expectations from us. We want to raise Party’s roots in this part of State for which we all together endeavor. It will be team work that ultimately would provide result.”
