Jabalpur’s wholesale cloth market is a leading trade in Mahakoshal region but for over a decade, the demand for integrated business centre has remained unheard. Presently it is facing lack of adequate facilities. The trade is running in problems due to scattered facilities. Traders have to managed transportation, banking, warehousing, trading points, etc. and security from different points. Answer to these various problems is development of integrated business centre for wholesale market for clothes where all sorts of facilities could be developed.

The demand to develop the system is being raised by the wholesale traders with facilities at one point. Development of integrated complex could resolve in bringing the trade in organised shape. Since the year 2015, after the survey conducted by Laghu Udyog Sangh, the project is lying in cold storage and now requires to be fresh review. According to the information, Jabalpur trades around 500 crore cloth in over 200 kilometres area supply area per season.

Simultaneously warehousing at main market of the old city is an expensive and now an engaging job. Due to traffic congestions even small vehicles supply could not be done in night time. In new plans of Smart City this important development could be included. It would help in resolving various associated problems. It may be mentioned that as per Smart City Project provisions for business and industry complex development the integrated complex are being planned. In Public Private Partnership the development could be initiated.
