City’s Jasjot Bhasin gets chance in Dharma Productions next movie

With Dharma Production’s new movie ‘Fighter’ will re-start the shooting in Mumbai after six month break due to COVID-19 pandemic, budding actor from Nagpur Jasjot Bhasin got a chance to play a short negative role in the movie talked with The Hitavada. He also shared his interesting story from a gym instructor to an actor. Renowned actors Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday are in lead roles in the movie.
 
Puri Jagannadh and Charmi Kaur giving the direction and producing the movie. 25-year-old Jasjot who lost his father at the age of just 7 years never thought to choose acting as career. However, his mind changed after a stand-up acting event that took place in city-based shopping mall where he performed before a huge crowed and received a lot of applause. “It was the first time I performed before a crowed which changed my mind and encouraged me to go to Mumbai for acting,” said Jasjot. Jasjot also did modelling before acting and also received a lot of appreciation.
 
He is a gym instructor but from last 2-3 years he is struggling in Mumbai for his passion in acting. “I have done a few acting workshops and theatre in Mumbai which helped me to get this chance in acting under a big banner like Dharma Productions,” he added. Jasjot is playing a role of a side villain and have few dialogues in the movie. “The movie is a big breakthrough for me and I am confident about my performance,” said Jasjot.
 
This budding actor has signed another movie also which he has not revealed the details. “I like to thank my mother Amritkaur Bhasin who always encouraged me and helped me to select acting as profession,” Jasjot added. Jasjot’s elder brother Sahibsingh Bhasin, who is an international footballer, is his role model. His elder brother struggled a lot after his father’s death and supported the family. He is the person who taught Jasjot to fight in adversities. Jasjot’s younger brother Navjoot Bhasin is a fitness model and also doing well in his career. This 25-year-old actor did his schooling from Bishop Cotton School where his mother is also a teacher. He completed his graduation from Hislop College.
