WCR ticket checking staff holds drive, nabs violators

The West Central Railway (WCR) ticket checking staff conducted intensive campaign for checking tickets during which 500 without ticket passengers were caught red-handed and action was taken against them. It may be mentioned that penalty was inflicted on the without ticket passengers and those travelling with illegal tickets and an amount of Rs 4 lakh was realized by ticket checkers.
 
Divisional Commercial Manager Devesh Soni said that getting tip off about the violation of COVID-19 protocol in the trains passing through Jabalpur and journey by without ticket passengers from smaller stations, the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Vshwa Ranjan had constituted four teams of flying squad which conducted intensive ticket checking between between Jabalpur to Katni, Damoh-Satna-Rewa and Pipariya.
 
These teams were constituted of incharge Ranjit Singh Bhullar, PK Pandey, Manoj Mishra, RK Ravat, Romit Singh, SS Yadav, Ashok Kayasth, Ashish, Mahesh, Rajesh and Avnesh Kumar. These team of vigilance conducted ticket checking three trains, train number 0-1115, Poona-Gorakhpur train, train number 12545 Raksole-Kurla and also on train number 03201 going from Mumbai to Patna. Apart from it, the ambulance of the Janta Express was also checked during which 311 cases were registered and Rs 2.04 lakh were realised as penalty.
 
Another flying squad collected Rs 2 lakh by conducting raids at different stations from without ticket passengers and those travelling in place of other passengers.
