SUPER-7 defeated Panthers 2-1 in sudden death to win the Indian Friends Football Club organised Intra-club 6-A-Side Football Tournament. The competition was organised to give the players a chance to get match fit. For Super-7, Daniel Tandekar and Vijay Pal scored the goals while Abhishek Mahajan missed the target. For Panthers Kushal Kamdi found the back of the net while Swayam and Aman Prasad missed it. Earlier in the semis, Super-7 defeated Coal Town 1-0 with Tandekar scoring the winner. In the other semi-final, Pathers IFFC defeated Aftab IFFC 1-9 with the help of Kushal Kamdi strike.
 
The tournament was inaugurated by Birendra Choudhary, Mine Manager, Silewara Coalmines. Chikara Devils and Big Bulls played a goalless draw in the inaugural match. The prize distribution was done in presence of Aruna Shinde, Panchayat Samiti Chairman, Neelima Uikey, Prakash Khapre, Nasir Siddiqui, Rahul Tiwari, Fahim Siddiqui, Michael Anthony and others. Aruna Shinde and Neelima Uikey, along with Prakash Khapre promised to provide a sum of Rs 10 lakh for the development of ground and related infrastructures (including proper drainage system, floodlights and others), informs a press release.
 
The tournament was successfully organised by under the able guidance of Ankush Bhadange. The other members include Mangesh Yaduwanshi, Shubham Kushwa, Daniel Tandekar, Jitendra Singh, Sachin Bagde, Jagdish Wadaskar. Yasir Arafat Siddiqui, Roshan Bhadange, Kritesh and others also helped in making the meet a grand success. IFFC Chankapur have branches in Silewara and Godhani (Nagpur). Total 10 teams took part in the competition.
 
The teams comprised Chikara Devils IFFC, Big Bulls IFFC, Coal Town IFFC, Halla Bol IFFC, Foot Boot IFFC, Panthers IFFC, Strikers IFFC, Annihators IFFC, Junior IFFC and Super-7 IFFC. Teams were divided into two groups and each team played 4 league matches. Top two teams from each group qualified for the semi-finals.
